Went to a gig instead of home. My dad is playing in a band with my uncles. I'll work on it later.

Good progress

Six hours of work in today, and I am aware of the time. I just got carried away. Forest part one and two is completed, complete with pickable/refreshable herbs, a tent that restores hitpoints, crystals that restore hit points, and the mine with minable/refreshable iron ore. The tent and crystals may be removed at a future date, but they will remain for the demo that I will release. Anyways, I'm done for the night. so bedtime it is, then work in the morning.

Minor Setback

Really...
Whenever you load a sample map, or make a new map, it just slides in another map along with the others.
Alright. Easy enough. Let's try out this 'generate dungeon' option. Looks good. ...
It overwrites whatever map you currently selected 'generate dungeon' on.
Future self, remember this post for reference. Don't generate dungeons on current maps! Make new ones!

Weather Permitting

Well, the weather decided it didn't want me to get any work done today. The lightning is really bad, and the power went out once. I really don't want to tempt the storm. I think it hailed too. All the rain is making me sleepy. I'll take a nap and try getting the game done later.

Two days, no progress.

Two lazy days. I know, I won't get anything done that way, but yesterday I had Tai Chi and today I was off of work and got a new game called Elder Sign and played with a friend, and then unwound with some Diablo III. Tomorrow (though technically today),  I will be going to a movie with my mom, play some more Elder Sign, and when I get home, I'll put in some time. Promise.

The Beginning

Well, this is my blog for my upcoming RPG game called War of the Dark Crystal, based off of my very first character and using RPG Maker VX. Already made some headway on it, and programming some of the events were annoying. But all is well so far, and I will have my progress up here as I go. Stay tuned for some screen shots.
